Double Booked

It had to happen sometime! We had a double booking, but didn't know about it until an hour before the allotted time. I was waiting for the first session of the day to arrive when I received a text from a mother who had scheduled her family in at the same time we were already expecting a different family. She had reserved the time on line and missed the instructions to call us within 24 hours to make the payment. Normally I receive an email notifying me of the booking and I usually call the client before they get a hold of me. This time the email showed up in the "other" box and I missed it. This family was actually made up of 6 cousin's from 3 families and they were already traveling to our studio. There was also a health related issue with one of the parents that made it imperative in my mind that I do whatever I could to make it work. Complicating things, we were booked up for the entire day. Fortunately The other family had called and requested to come 30 minutes early. Better yet, they were perfectly behaved so we were able to complete the session early. We also managed to do a speedy turnaround which helped us be ready for our second family. They were constrained by another appointment one of the family members had to keep. But, their children, most being a little older, made our life easier. Even the youngest two did great! We were able to finish their time with Santa, The parents were very appreciative, and everyone left happy. We were very blessed that day to have been able to serve our clients in a way that drew must praise.
